About the Battle Bend Springs HOA
The Battle Bend Springs HOA is a completely voluntary, volunteer-led neighborhood organization dedicated to community engagement, neighborhood communication, and caring for common spaces.
Meet the current BBS HOA Board
Ben Steinbauer, President
I am a proud husband to Katie and father to Poppy and Mo. Chances are we’ve met around the neighborhood as I love talking to people I meet on walks. I’ve lived in BBS since August of 2020 and my main goal for the neighborhood is to create community. I want to accomplish three things while on the board - institute a welcome committee, grow the neighborhood group and organize a monthly park cleanup.
Joanna Rogerson, Vice President
As a resident of Battle Bend since 2018, the reason I ran for the position is to continue to make the neighborhood a safe and supportive community. My goal will be to strengthen positive, in-person connections between Battle Bend families. Then to leverage those connections to give back to its infrastructure, people, and green-spaces.
Duck Margalis, Secretary
My goal in this position is to help connect the community digitally, as well as in person. There's always room for more interactivity, mutual aid and genuine connection among communities. I'd love to help facilitate that here, with the rest of the Battle Bend Springs neighborhood group. You can probably find me in my garden, excited to chat about the beauty of growing your own food, low waste living and anything sustainability.
Ted Muething, Treasurer
I’ve lived on Fort Drum Dr. with my wife, Jordan, three year-old daughter, Nora, and eleven year-old pup, Willie, since September 2020. While both originally from Ohio, Jordan and I have called Austin home for more than a decade and love the feeling of community and pride that makes Battle Bend Springs a special place to live and raise a family. I’m always game to chat about gardening, the UT Longhorns, Austin FC, and the Cincinnati Bengals.
